With a master’s degree in applied languages with business and commerce, I started my career in international purchasing for various industrial sectors in France and Switzerland. After 10 years in this field, I needed a more “human” aspect to my job, so I decided to change direction, and started to work in international human resources. It was at this time that I crossed the path of Bastien. We had worked together in 2 companies before deciding to set up De Officiis in Geneva.
With a doctorate in geosciences from the Ecole des Mines (engineering school) in Paris, I started my professional career as a consultant. In addition to the technical side, I had always wanted to place the human dimension at the heart of my work, being convinced that it was a key and essential factor in the world of work. So, after holding various positions in international service companies, Julie and I created De Officiis in 2017, our uppermost desire being to put people at the heart of our business and to offer quality services, imbued with this dimension, for our clients and the success of their projects.

A word about why Officiis has two “i”s!
Right from the start, when we were looking for a name “that resonated with us”, we wanted to highlight the fact that we are a service company.
This is how we came across the fact that the word OFFICIIS in Latin, means services, duty.
We wanted a name that would be pronounced the same way in all languages, so OFFICIIS fitted the bill perfectly!
And finally, while doing more detailed research, we came across a work by Cicero called DE OFFICIIS, which deals in particular with ethics, training new generations, moral beauty, honesty, the idea of justice … in short, the values that we wish to convey at De Officiis!
